Radiotherapy of Hodgkin's disease in consideration of staging laparotomy
Description
Improving the diagnosing by staging laparotomy helps to treat Hodgkin's disease thus increasing the possibilities to survive. This article reports on the results of radiotherapy under high-voltage conditions on 247 laparotomised patients. A comparison between pathological and clinical staging and between the results of radiologic treatments and scintiscanning treatment is discussed. (APR)

Die Verbesserung der Diagnostik durch die Staginglaparatomie hilft, den M. Hodgkin gezielt zu therapieren und dadurch die Ueberlebenschance zu erhoehen. In dem vorliegenden Beitrag wird das Ergebnis der Radiotherapie unter Hochvoltbedingungen bei laparotomierten insgesamt 247 Patienten berichtet. Ferner werden der Vergleich zwischen dem pathologischen und klinischen Staging sowie zwischen den Ergebnissen der szintigraphischen und radiologischen Untersuchungen diskutiert.
