On kinetics of rhenium sorption from alkaline solutions

Description
Using improved technique of experiment planning regularities of rhenium sorption with AV-17x8 resin have been studied. For the matrix of six-factor experiment at five levels active factors were as follows: t(20-60 deg C), initial concentration [Re](20-140 mg/l) and [NaOH](100-300 g/l), the grain size r(0.3-1.5 mm), the rate of solution passing v%(0.3-1.5 ml/min). Sorption duration tau is taken as an independent factor. Dependence of sorption rate on all the factors except time is determined. Activation energy is found. A supposition is made that the process of rhenium sorption from highly alkali solutions is limited by film diffusion. The order of the reaction as to rhenium, close to 1, is established. It also confirms the extra diffusion character of sorption
