Presentation of axial and horizontal burnup profiles

  • 1. AREVA Framatome-ANP, Offenbach (Germany)

Description

In the paper on hand the derivation of methods is presented which are capable to generate bounding axial burnup profiles as well as bounding horizontal burnup profiles as a function of the average burnup for different fuel designs and different reactor operation conditions. The profiles that can be generated by means of these methods are bounding by construction, irrespective of changes in the isotopic inventory due to changes in the depletion conditions. (author)
