CP violation

Description
The author reviews the historical aspects of CP violation from its discovery in 1964 in kaon decays, to the experiment on B meson systems in 2001 and to experiments on neutral B meson decays in 2004. It is shown how CP violation has helped to shape the standard model and even to go beyond it because the asymmetry in matter/anti-matter we see in the universe implies a CP violation bigger than that the standard model can allow.
