Description
This article reviews the construction plans for utility generating capacity, in the USA and Canada, for the next 20 years. It reviews the outlooks, the changes in emphasis, capacity and technology as well as outlining the developments that have yet to be found in these proposed utilities. The increasing competition between the fossil fuels is analysed as well as the nuclear industry's position in the power generation sector. Demand and the forecasting of electricity needs is studied along with the prospects for the hardware manufacturers
