Description
Diagnosis and surgical treatment of a leiomyoma of the small bowel are described. The special findings in this case are the unusual location of this tumors and the fact that histological examination revealed a benign process, although the tumor had a diameter of more than 16 cm. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Es wird ueber Diagnostik und Operation eines ausgedehnten Leiomyoms des Duenndarms berichtet. Die Besonderheit dieser Fallbeschreibung liegt zum einen in der seltenen Lokalisation dieses Tumors, zum anderen in der Histologie, die trotz der Groesse des Prozesses (mehr als 16 cm Durchmesser) einen rein benignen Prozess ergab.
