Description
Employees are responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy workplace and employees have a responsibility to work safely and maintain good standards of housekeeping. Good housekeeping should be regarded as a routine part of job and means more than just neatness, it includes keeping all reagents, equipment and everything used in the laboratories in good working order. Good housekeeping can improve safety by minimizing carelessness and clutter which are two common causes of accidental injuries and fires. Efficiency can be improved by keeping an orderly workplace and reducing lost time and frustration resulted from constantly looking for papers, reagents, equipment s.. ect. (author)
