Numerical analysis of thermal behavior of a heat exchanger made of double-finned annulus

Description
The present paper reports a boundary integral solution analysis of a countercurrent heat exchanger made of a double-finned annulus. The enhancement of the heat transfer surface is obtained by longitudinal straight finns which are placed on the intermediate surface. The Nusselt number is compared with data obtained from analytical solution available for limiting-cases. (author)

Determina-se o comportamento termico do escoamento atraves de um trocador de calor duplo-tubo duplo-aletado em escoamento laminar de igual capacidade caloritica horaria. A solucao e obtida atraves do metodo de equacoes integrais difinidas sobre a fronteira. A conducao de calor nas aletas e considerada. A verificacao da solucao numerica e feita comparando-se o numero de Nusselt e fator de atrito com solucoes disponiveis na literatura especializada. (autor)Files
