Future B factories
Description
A prime goal for exploring B Physics is to study four quark mixing parameters, given as CKM matrix, of the standard model. All decay processes including CP violation effects in the B meson system must be consistently explained by CKM. Also, the unitarity triangle formed by the CKM elements must close. Any deviation from these expectations will be an indication of new physics. Significant progress has been made both experimentally and theoretically over the last several years. In spite of the progress, we face serious limitations. Measurements always appear as combinations of the CKM factors and the hadronic effects. And uncertainties of the hadronic effects stay as major obstacles for precise extraction of CKM elements. This status is described just to demonstrate the point. (K.A.)
