Heat capacity of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ

Description
Preliminary results of the C(T)-behaviour in close vicinity to Tc are reported. Comparison is made with the κ(T) and ρ(T)-curves for the same sample of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ which is with a small volume fraction of the high Tc-phase. It is concluded that the C(T) behaviour depends on the sintering conditions similarly to the case of RE-based ceramics. For this reason the existing technological problems have to be solved in order to prepare samples of very high quality required for precise C(T)-study. 2 figs., 11 refs
