Results from a new kit for labelling erythrocytes with 99mTc

Description
The quality of a new method for simplified in-vitro labelling of erythrocytes in radionuclide ventriculography was studied in comparison with an established in-vitro labelling method. Examination as well as evaluation of the results were performed referring to the study of Neumann et al. Objects of determination were: the proportion of activity not bound to the erythrocytes before and after injection of the labelled volume, the count rate over the left ventricle and the paracardiac background within a standard ROI as well as their production and the subjective judgement on the imaging quality. Both methods have led to good results, considerable differences could not be detected. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Die Qualitaet einer neuen Methode zur vereinfachten in vitro-Markierung von Erythrozyten bei der Radionuklidventrikulographie wurde im Vergleich zu einer erprobten in vitro-Markierung ueberprueft. Die Untersuchung sowie die Auswertung der Ergebnisse wurden in Anlehnung an die Studie von Neumann et al. vorgenommen. Ermittelt wurden der Anteil der nicht an die Erythrozyten gebundenen Aktivitaet vor und nach Injektion des markierten Volumens, die Zaehlrate ueber dem linken Ventrikel und dem parakardialen Hintergrund in einer Standard-ROI sowie deren Verhaeltnis und die subjektive Beurteilung der Abbildungsqualitaet. Beide Methoden fuehrten zu guten Ergebnissen, wesentliche Unterschiede konnten nicht festgestellt werden. (orig.)Additional details
