Nuclear energy is crisis-proof, cheap and available on the long term

Description
A globally increased use of nuclear energy with contributions of 20% of the primary energy demand - and a thus lasting reduction of CO2 emissions - should apart from power generation also include space and process heat by means of thermal reactors, cogeneration and use of waste heat. The uranium resources will suffice for about 130 years, enough time for the development of progressive energy technology as e.g. fusion reactors. (DG)

Eine im Weltmassstab staerkere Nutzung der Kernenergie mit Anteilswerten am Primaerenergiebedarf von 20% - und damit nachhaltiger Reduzierung der CO2-Emissionen - muesste neben der Stromerzeugung, Heizreaktoren, Kraft-Waerme-Kopplung, Abwaermenutzung, Raum- und Prozesswaermenutzung mit erfassen. Die Uranvorraete haben eine Reichweite von 130 Jahren, genuegend Zeit also fuer die Entwicklung fortschrittlicher Energieerzeuger wie Fusionsreaktoren. (DG)Additional details
