Non-divergent semiclassical wave functions in supersymmetric quantum mechanics

  • 1. Dept. of Physics, Univ. of Illinois, Chicago (USA)

Description

Recent work has shown that the supersymmetric WKB approximation (SWKB) gives better results for the energy eigenvalues of most potentials than the standard WKB method. Here, we obtain wave functions in the SWKB scheme which do not diverge at the classical turning points, using a simple, newly developed regularization procedure which rearranges terms in the semiclassical perturbation expansion in ℎ.
