Bifurcations in rotational spectra of odd nuclei

  • 1. I. V. Kurchatov Atomic Energy Institute (USSR)

Description

The role of nonlinear effects in studying the nuclear excitation energy is significant. It is asserted that at lower energies the nonlinear dynamics results in bifurcations. The rotational excitation of nuclei is studied with emphasis on the centrifugal and Coriolis forces. It is shown that a subshell of odd nuclei of anomalous parity exhibits bifurcations when the subshell is more than half filled
