Qualitative estimation of compliance with the elements of the safety culture program in a facility with medical practices

Description
The Cuban legislation provides and / or suggests requirements, compliance with which contributes to raising the safety culture in practices with radioactive sources. In 2015, a Guide with a recommendation nature was approved, through Resolution No. 3 of the National Center for Nuclear Safety, which sets out the expectations of the Regulatory Authority on the culture of safety in organizations that carry out activities with radiation sources. ionizing, and the degree to which these can be satisfied in practice. This work presents the results of the analysis of the documents approved for the three medical practices that are developed at Hospital- V. I. Lenin, Holguín, as well as the application of a survey prepared to evaluate, according to expert criteria, compliance of the basic elements proposed in the guide. The results obtained allow to reformulate the actions that are developed in the entity, to reach higher levels in the implementation of a positive safety culture and stop considering this concept in an abstract way, with the possibility of its quantification in the organizations.
