Shape changes in the nucleus 180Os at high angular moments
Description
For the study of the shape changes in the nucleus 180Os at high angular momenta high-spin states were excited in a 150Nd(36S,6n) compound-nucleus reaction. The emitted γ radiation was measured with the 12 anti-Compton spectrometers and the γ calorimeter of the OSIRIS apparature. In the EγEγ correlation matrices in the energy range 660-860 keV and above 900 keV peak structures were observed from which the dynamic moment of inertia of the nucleus could be derived. (orig./HSI)

Zur Untersuchung der Gestaltaenderungen im Kern 180Os bei hohen Drehimpulsen, wurden Hochspinzustaende in einer 150Nd(36S,6n)-Compoundkernreaktion angeregt. Die emittierte γ-Strahlung wurde mit den 12 Anti-Compton-Spektrometern und dem γ-Kalorimeter der OSIRIS-Apparatur gemessen. In den EγEγ-Korrelationsmatrizen wurden im Energiebereich 660-860 keV und oberhalb von 900 keV Gratstrukturen beobachtet den das dynamische Traegheitsmoment des Kerns hergeleitet werden konnte.
