D0 - D-bar0 mixing at Cleo

  • 1. Syracuse Univ., NY (United States)

Description

CLEO has studied D0-D-bar0 mixing in the 'wrong-sign' decay D0 → K+π-. We distinguish the contributions from the doubly-Cabibbo-suppressed direct decay and mixing through the time dependence of the decay rate. In the analysis we allow for the general case of CP violation. The rate of the direct decay with respect to the 'right-sign' decay D0 → K-π+ was found to be R = (0.332-0.065+0.063 ± 0.040)%. We find no evidence for mixing or CP violation. CLEO also searches for D0 - D-bar0 mixing in semileptonic decays and in decays into CP eigenstates (K+K-, π+π-, Ksρ, KsΦ, Ksω). (author)
