Conductivity jumps and low-temperature magnetoresistance in new semiconducting La1-xBixMnO3+δ perovskites
- 1. Inst. of Crystallography, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow (Russian Federation)
Description
The abrupt jumps were observed on the temperature dependences of electrical conductivity of La1-xBixMnO3+δ (0.1 < x < 0.7) and La0.3Bi0.7Na0.1MnO3+δ ceramics. The temperature at which the jumps take place could be reduced by applying external magnetic field of 15 k Oe. It can be seen from the magnetization data that low-temperature poor-conducting phase is not antiferromagnetic. All the samples studied showed high low-temperature magnetoresistance
