Survey methodology handbook. Inshore crustacean fishery survey close to Flamanville nuclear power plant. CRUSTAFLAM

Description

Fishery and ecological studies have been carried out by Ifremer as part of the environment monitoring of the nuclear power plant of Flamanville (programme supported by Electricite de France). Their aim is to follow the natural fluctuations of the major species in the previous years and evaluate the impact of the power plant on the local fishery from the moment it has begun to operate. This paper presents the data collected between 1977 and 2002 and the creation of a natural reserve which induced a modification of the relative index calculation and the introduction of a precise lobster numbering in the reserve. These points are described here with the sampling methodology and the tagging technique used. The associated data base specification is given showing the relations between the tables. (authors)
