Description
We calculate the energy-momentum tensor for the thermal scalar gas in curved space-time. The Jeans mass is obtained using the effective Einstein equation at finite temperature. A remarkable observation is that the curvature effect vanishes in a conformally invariant theory up to the order of β0-2 in the high-temperature expansion. (orig.)
