Recent developments in the production of radiopharmaceuticals at BARC
Description
An outline of the history of production of radiopharmaceuticals in India by the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Bombay, is given. Methods of production of primary medical radioisotopes, radiopharmaceuticals, and 99Tc-labelled compounds by means of 99Tc-generator kits are described. Isotope labelling for in vitro assays is also described. Quality control measures are mentioned. A list of radiopharmaceuticals produced by the BARC is given. (M.G.B.)
