Neutron radiography method under high gamma-ray environment using Dysprosium foil

Description

As neutron radiography method under high gamma-ray environment, an imaging method instead of the indirect method of the film transcription was developed. By the method of transcription from radioactivated Dysprosium foils to imaging plates, we confirmed that the distribution of neutron absorber was observable at the same level as a conventional direct method in a short time. And we estimated that it is possible to photograph by 2 orders of magnitude neutron flux less than typical neutron radiography flux. And the influence to transmission images by the neutron irradiation system was considered in comparing the images with analysis results by Monte Carlo simulation. (author)
