Description

The theory of grain boundary diffusion in metals with fine-grained structure with account of diffusant suction to the grain body is developed. The effective diffusion coefficient is shown to be determined in experiments with radioactive isotopes at low temperatures; a method for determination of the true coefficient of grain boundary diffusion is pointed out. It is stated that description of the process changes at its different stages
