Description
Changes are studied in the yield point and structural characteristics of 12Kh18N10T austenitic steel resulted from prior plastic deformation up to various levels (0.3-10 %) at 300 K and repeated low-temperature loading (at 77 K) up to 0.2% deformation. It is established that density of structural defects in austenite, the defects being resulted from prior strain at room temperature, affects the peculiarities of changes in the steel substructure at low-temperature loading and the value of low-temperature yield point. The yield point in the range of small (< 2%) values of prior strain is shown to essentially decrease
