Creep-rupture behavior of Fe-2/one quarter/Cr-1Mo steel exposed to a sodium environment
Description
Decarburization rate constants for isothermally annealed Fe-2/one quarter/ wt% Cr-1 wt% Mo steel have been evaluated at temperatures between 482 and 593/degree/C. Uniaxial creep-rupture data have been obtained at 482, 538, and 593/degree/C in the isothermally annealed and thermally aged conditions and after exposure to flowing sodium for periods of 7.2 and 21.7 Ms. Rupture life decreases and the minimum creep rate increases as decarburization increases. 9 refs
