Automation system for synchronization of scanning beam for stereogram automatical processing

Description

A system of monitoring two mirror-drum scanners is considered which is used for the automatic processing of stereoscopic photographs. It ensures cophasal harmonic scanner oscillation. Lack of phase synchronism is automatically eliminated by changing the phase shift between the input signals. Information on the lack of scanning phase synchronism is drawn by the phase detector from the difference in the times the scanning rays cross the Positions of the corresponding scanning centres. A block diagram of the phase detector is given as well as its time diagrams and experimentally taken static characteristic. The phase detector methodical error is evaluated. It is within 0.5 deg with a modulation coefficient of 95% for the scan rasters
