Description
Radioactivity of 137Cs in plant samples was determined, taken in Semipalatinsk nuclear test site, in the northwest part of Republic of Kazakhstan. Before determination of 137Cs, pretreatment of dry ashing process was done carefully under low temperature to prevent the evaporation of Cs. Some samples had strong radioactivity of 137Cs, but they were not so high level, considering the reported high level of 137Cs in soil. Distribution of 137Cs was not uniform. (author)
