Description
Highlights: • Development of a framework for the transport analysis of KSTAR plasma. • All the steps (data extraction, simulation, result storage) are automated. • The framework can also be used to analyze former KSTAR experimental data. - Abstract: A method for fast transport analysis of KSTAR plasmas has been developed and tested. It consists in an automatic process that generates a set of input files, runs the simulation and extracts the results. The process can be used for in-between shots KSTAR simulations. The simulation part is based on the use of the transport code TRANSP. In order to decrease the simulation time, some concessions on the input parameters have been made. We studied the influence of different key parameters. By varying these parameters, we were able to decrease the simulation time without degrading the global quality of the results. Nevertheless, these compromised results can give a good indication on the plasma performances. The simulation results, made easily available for the experimentalists, may help to retune KSTAR parameters during the experimental campaign.
