Atomic kinetics is an important aspect of plasma physics modeling. Together with other methods is mainly used for developing models in support of plasma spectroscopy diagnostics, i.e. determination of plasma conditions (such as temperature and density) in both laboratory and celestial plasmas. These studies are relevant for a broad range of problems from astrophysics to nuclear fusion and material science. The complexity of today's atomic kinetic modeling requires powerful computational tools. In this work there will be presented some of these tools, mainly our M3R computer code which can provides time dependent ionic plasmas compositions in any kind of plasma (magnetic confinement or inertial confinement). The model is very fast and it has been parallelized. A set of result reported at the First Workshop on Kinetic Codes held on 1996 in Washington D.C. (USA) will be presented. (Author)
