Description
High temperature and pressure resistant gamma and neutron probes were developed using Dewar vessels and heat resistant multiplier with scintillation measuring heads, resp. Neutron porosity measurements were carried out with neutron probes using a field calibrator. Comparative sonic measurements were carried out to discover mineral raw materials. Iron impurities in bauxite boreholes were determined using an X-ray radiometric equipment. Different amounts of Al2O3, SiO2, CaO and Fe2O3 in different matrices (raw materials of the cement industry) were determined by neutron activation analysis and X-ray fluorescence method. (V.N.)
