Description

Highlights: • Static Li-Pb immersion tests for Er2O3, Y2O3 and ZrO2 coatings were carried out. • Permeation reduction factor of 100 was achieved with a Li-Pb immersed ZrO2 coating. • Li-Pb compatibility of Er2O3 and Y2O3 coatings was improved by Cr2O3 formation. • Degradation of the coatings occurred through corrosion and delamination.
