An observation of the SQS mode in a gas counter

Description
The SQS mode has been observed with α-rays and a counter using 25 μm thick anode wire for comparatively simple gases, 95% Ar+5% CO2, 90% Ar+10% CH4, CO2, CH4 and iso-C4H10. The curves of gas multiplication are presented. (orig.)
