The effect of thermomechanical processing on second phase particle redistribution in U-10 wt%Mo

  • 1. Computational Engineering, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Richland, 99354 (United States)
  • 2. Materials Development and Testing, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Richland, 99354 (United States)

Description

Highlights: • Microstructure-based modeling is performed on U-10 wt% Mo to study rolling induced carbide redistribution. • The simulated particle distribution at large deformation is validated from experimental observation. • 2 point correlation function is used to analyze both experimental and calculated particle distribution during rolling.
