Investigation on NPP safety in nuclear centers of Germany

Description
The results of studies on safety of NPPs with water-water nuclear reactors, obtained in the Karlsruhe and Rossendorf research centers, are presented. Great attention was paid to the consequences of hypothetical accidents, in particular, with the reactor core meltdown. The experiments, related to developing the European pressurized water reactor (EPR), differing by high degree of safety, as well as the works in the area of reactor physics and analyses of the accident scenarios, carried out with application of the calculational program on calculating the DYN3D reactor dynamics, combined with the ATHLET program on the thermohydraulic calculations, are described

Представлены результаты работ по безопасности АЭС с водо-водяными реакторами, полученные в исследовательских центрах Карлсруэ и Россендорфе. Большое внимание уделено возможным последствиям гипотетических аварий, в частности, с расплавлением активной зоны. Описаны эксперименты, связанные с разработкой концепции Европейского реактора с водой под давлением (EPR), отличающегося высокой степенью безопасности, а также работы в области физики реактора и анализы сценариев аварий, проведенные с помощью программы расчета динамики реактора DYN3D, соединенной с программой ATHLET по теплогидравлическим расчетамAdditional details
