Determination of microelements in petrolium by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission method

  • 1. Gosudarstvennyj Nauchno-Issledovatel'skij i Proektno-Konstruktorskij Inst. Gidrometallurgii Tsvetnykh Metallov, Novosibirsk (USSR)

Description

A method has been developed for determining Ba, Ca, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, La, Mg, Mn, Ni, Pb, Ru, V, Y, Zn traces in oil. The method is based on distillation of light oil fractions boiling at 140degC, dilution of the residue with xylene and direct analysis of the solution by ICP AES using organic reference samples. The method enables to determine trace elements at levels of 1-100 mg/t with a relative standard deviation of not greater than 0.10. The systematic errors are zero at P=0.95
