Description
Routine examination of the welded joints in the circulation loop of the Muehleberg reactor showed indications of stress crack corrosion. During the annual revision 1985, 7 welded joints had to be repaired by overlay welding. At the same time in agreement with the competent authorities, the decision was taken to exchange the circulation loop during the annual revision 1986. The lecture describes radiation protection measures taken for this work and discusses the problems of personnel doses
