Description
We investigate the validity of the saddle-point approximation of integrals over the compact manifold Sn, in which the confining δ-function in the measure has been replaced by its Fourier representation. The approximation is found to deliver good results, particularly when the exact roots of the defining polynomial are used. ((orig.))
