Description
There is significant evidence that an an elastic loss of seismic energy is linked to petrophysical properties such as porosity, permeability and content. Thus, reliable estimation of an elastic attenuation from seismic can lead to improve methods for the prediction of petrophysical prope This study deals with the estimation of attenuation factor of seismic refracted wave from in situ data. The available seismic data, at Inshas site, has analyzed using TFSIG-3 computer program, which can analyze the wavelets in both time and frequency domains. In addition, the phase spectrum can be computed with the helpful of Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). The amplitude spectra of the seismic data were evaluated and consequently the quality factor Qwas estimated through the application of spectral- amplitude ratio method
