Description
Blue forms of octa-4tert.-butyl substituted diphalocyanine of a series of rare earth elements are synthesized. results of their spectral electrochemical research have shown a considerable anode shift of oxidation wave potentials as compared with known diphthalcyanines of trivalent rare earths, the spectral similarity with reduced forms of these compounds and diphthalocyanines of wittingly tetravalent metals has allowed in conclude that blue forms of rare earth series are complexes of tetravalent metals. The dependence of oxidation wave potentials on the nature of rare earth elements is studied
