Description
The isotropic experimental Compton profile of vanadium germanide (V3Ge) has been measured with 59.54 ke V γ-rays. The measured data are compared with the theoretical profile computed using the linear combination of atomic orbitals method using CRYSTAL code. Good agreement of the isotropic experimental profile and the spherically averaged theoretical profile has been observed. Experimental valence profile is compared with its next counterpart namely chromium germanide (Cr3Ge) to examine effect of adding electrons in this system. (author)
