Description

The one- and two-electron photodetachment of H- is studied by using accurate Hylleraas initial-state and correlated 3C final-state wavefunctions in the high-energy range of 1-10 keV. The ratio Rph between double- and single-electron ejection displays an approximately E-1 high-energy behaviour, Rph(E)(%) ∼ 1.50 + 0.30/E(keV). The influence of both the initial-and final-state correlations is demonstrated. (author)
