Effect of hydrogen fluoride on tungsten hexafluoride reduction by hydrogen
Description
The changes in the rate of tungsten reduction from hexafluoride due to formation of hydrogen fluoride are investigated. It is shown that hydrogen fluoride decreases the region of dendrite precipitant formation. Optimum conditions are determined for reduction of WF6 in the presence of HF in order to obtain compact tungsten precipitants
