Description

Dr Albert Einstein's enunciation of mass energy equivalence and subsequent discovery of atomic energy have paved the way for unlimited applications of radiations and radioisotopes in industry, medicine, agriculture and research leading to peace and progress of mankind. Due to the efforts of great visionaries like Dr Homi J Bhabha, a profound atomic energy program has been developed in the country. As an important component of this program, applications of radioisotopes and radiation techniques are playing a great role in the national development. A brief account of these techniques and applications are presented in this paper. (author)
