Effect of radiochemical treatment of cellulosic materials on their enzymatic hydrolysis

  • 1. Belorusskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Minsk

Description

The effect of ionizing radiation (the ILU-6 accelerator of 20 kW power, 1.8-2.0 MeV electron energy, 0.01-0.3 MgY tested dose range) in combination with treatment by ozone, as well as aqueous solutions of urea, thiourea, ammonium sulfates, sodium dihydrophosphates on enzymatic hydrolysis of pure cellulose and winter rye straw is studied. It is shown that pretreatment of cellulose-containing materials by the above-mentioned reagents leads to increasing the enzymatic hydrolysis rate and decreasing the absorbed dose in comparison with the corresponding indices typical for untreated raw materials
