Description
A new chirally symmetric, covariant effective quark model is presented which suppresses the appearance of free quarks by the same many-body mechanism which spontaneously breaks chiral invariance. Meson masses are evaluated. The quark self-energy and the four-quark vertex function is obtained in an analytical form. (K.A.) 8 refs
