Description
Historical and legal aspects of the control over the discharges of radioactive wastes from installations in Great Britain are summarized. The results of the survey then follow, under the headings: UK Atomic Energy Authority establishments, the Radiochemical Centre Limited, British Nuclear Fuels Limited, Central Electricity Generating Board and South of Scotland Electricity Board nuclear power stations, Ministry of Defence. In each case the authorisation is stated, with the actual discharges or disposals, and comments. (U.K.)
