Ion production in the atmosphere
Description
Data on the ion concentration in cosmic ray fluxes in the atmosphere from the Earth surface to the heights of 30-35 km are analyzed. It is shown that the equation of ion balance in the atmosphere at heights of 7 < h < 30 km taking into account the process of ion production by charged particles and recombination is a linear equation but not quadratic one as it is usually supposed
