Description

The present work provides an overview of the radiation loop RK-LM - a gamma source installed at the Latvian Research Nuclear Reactor - for over than 21 year operation. The activity of the gamma source was 2.96 PBq, which ensured the dose rates of its two radiators 78 kGy/h and 240 kGy/h, respectively. Since the elements of the RK-LM loop and the alloy In-Ga-Sn used in experiments have received a very high neutron and gamma radiation doses, during the dismantling of the loop it was worthwhile to prepare samples for examination. The work presents the information necessary to estimate the operating parameters of the samples under investigation. (author)
