Mantle plume structure and metallogenesis in south China
Description
The relationship between metallogenesis of uranium, tungsten, etc. and the structure of mantle plume in South China multi-metal metallogenic province is discussed and analyzed with the mantle plume theory. A sub-mantle plume of embedded rings (inner ring Ⅰ, middle ring Ⅱ and outer ring Ⅲ) representing the centre of a large mantle concave-magmatic activation was proposed in the kenel of East Guangxi area in South China. Over 20 hot spots were primarily recognized, and their control to the central metallogenic area for uranium, tungsten, etc. was also summarized. The metallogenic prospecting should focus on the inner ring area and attention should be paid to the middle and outer ring area . (authors)
