Description

The author outlines some progress which has recently been made in the Hartree-Fock or mean-field description of low-energy nuclear properties. He concentrates mainly on static nuclear properties such as binding energies, radii, charge distributions, deformation energies etc., but also briefly mentions some calculations of giant resonances and sub-barrier fusion cross sections.
